1. Brief
The β-lactamase rapid test strip, based on Colloidal gold immunochromatography assay method, is used for testing β-lactamase residue in milk and goat milk.

3. Principle
The β-lactamase rapid test dipstick is based on competitive inhibition immuno-chromatographic principle. When the β-lactamase residue in sample is higher than or equal to the detection limit, it will degrade the standard in white microwells, make labeled antibody combine with coated antigen on T line, making T line is darker than C line or has same color with C line; Otherwise, When the β-lactamase residue in sample is lower than the detection limit, the standard in white microwells will compete combination of labeled antibody. Making T line lighter than C line or T line invisible. Otherwise, . No matter whether there is β-lactamase residue in sample, C line is visible.

5. Operation procedures
1) Read the manual carefully before testing, return test dipsticks and milk sample into room temperature (20℃~30℃) before use.
2) Take out bottle, open and take the quantity needed white micro-wells and mark. After taking out reagent, cover the lid immediately to avoid the rest reagent moisture.
3) Absorb 200ul milk sample into white Micro-well, sucking 5~10 times until sample mix even with reagent in micro-well, observe by eyes no solid.
4) Incubate the white micro-well at 40±2℃ for first step immediately, timing;
Detection limit 2 U/ml, incubate for 9min;
Detection limit 0.75 U/ml, incubate for 16min.
5) Take out quantity needed red micro-well and test dipsticks and mark.
6) After finished first step incubation, transfer all liquid in white micro-well into red micro-well (try ensure transfer all liquid for a accurate result ), then sucking 8~10 times for complete mixing even.
7) Incubate the red micro-well at 40±2℃ for second step, timing for 3min.
8) After finished second step incubation, insert the dipstick into red micro-well, put the end with MAX down, incubate at 40±2℃ for third step, timing for 3min
9) After finished third step incubation, take out the dipstick from micro-well, judge the result.
6. Test Result Interpretation
6.1 Negative: T line is lighter than C line or T line is invisible, it means the β-lactamase concentration is lower than detection limit or no β-lactamase residue.
6.2 Positive: T line is darker or has the same color with C line, the β-lactamase concentration is equal to or higher than detection limit.
6.3 Invalid: C line is invisible, maybe it is the operation error or test strip is invalid. Read the manuals, use new test strip to test again. Contact the supplier if problems keep happening.

8. Precautions
1) This product is suitable for pure milk and raw milk.
2) Test dipsticks and micro-wells are disposable,do not use test dipsticks out of date.
3) Please seal the bottle after taking out required test dipsticks. If can not use all 8 microwells at once, cup the rest and put it back to bottle and sealed.
4) Do not touch the white membrane surface in the middle of test card, avoid sunlight and fan blowing directly.
5) Store milk sample in cold, no more than 3 days.
6) Milk samples should be fully liquid without any agglomeration, sour and precipitation. Stir milk sample to even before test.
7) For milk sample with high fat content, chromatography is slow, recommending extension the second step for another 1 min.
8) Use the test dipsticks testing again for positive results.
9. Storage and expiry date
Storage: Store at 2-8 ℃ in sealed, dry, and dark place, no frozen.
Expiry date: 12 months; date of production is on box.
